ScaleUP@Babraham is the second programme under the Accelerate@Babraham umbrella initiative launched in early 2020. It is aimed at life science companies beyond initial concept, generally at the seed stage/pre-Series A (between £500k and £3M investment) of development. The objective of the ScaleUP@Babraham programme is to support the growth of life science start-ups (life sciences entrepreneurs), providing them with the opportunity to think about and reflect upon their business, to review and revisit some of the concepts needed for successful growth (e.g. business models, marketing, team creation), helping to expand their networks, develop management skills and provide access to investment.
ScaleUP@Babraham is a 5-day fee paying programme (£1,500+VAT per participant or £300+VAT per session), which will start in Spring 2020 run during 2020. Sessions will run every other month and each training day will include breakfast with selected CEOs, investors and experts, giving companies the opportunity to make the most of the Babraham Research Campus community. The application process will open in early 2020.

Cap table, forecast, potential investor list, accounting best practice, one company's journey and investment trends in the life sciences sector in the UK and Europe are all covered in this session.
Hone your negotiating skills and understand what Pharma is really looking for.
Communicating who you are and what you do in the right way. This session will explore strategic communication, brand, social media and importantly media training to build confidence when talking to the press.
