Head of Life Science Investment, Cambridge Enterprise
As Head of Life Science Investment within the Life Sciences team at Cambridge Enterprise (part of the University of Cambridge) Christine focuses on drug discovery and is responsible for a broad portfolio including University of Cambridge spin-outs Carrick, STORM, Z-factor, PhoreMost, Qkine and PolyProX.
Christine previously worked within the Cambridge Enterprise Technology Transfer team, managing the licensing of University intellectual property. Christine was also responsible for the University of Cambridge-GSK open innovation drug discovery initiative based at the Stevenage BioScience Catalyst (SBC), where she worked closely with academics to attract funding for translational projects. Prior to Cambridge Enterprise, she worked at Biotica Technology, a University of Cambridge biotech spin-out, for 11 years.
Christine has an MA and DPhil from the University of Oxford, has authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and is an inventor on over 20 patents. She was the recipient of the Arthur E. Schwarting award in 2006 and featured in BioBeat’s 50 Movers and Shakers in BioBusiness 2018. Christine joined Cambridge Enterprise in September 2011.
