Communications and Media Liaison

The Babraham Institute's Corporate Affairs Office is responsible for the communication strategy and corporate profile of the Babraham Group. The office facilitates communication with the media and promotes effective networking with the bioscience community and our stakeholders. We actively engage with society to explain our research portfolio, the implications of our discoveries in biomedical research and listens to public concerns about science and technology in the world around us.

The office issues press releases to inform the media and relevant public audiences of new scientific advances, BBT's commercial activities, developments on the Babraham Research Campus, and other matters of potential interest to our stakeholders.

Our Science and Society Programme seeks to engage a broad range of public audiences in dialogue about science, in order to create a better understanding and appreciation of the Institute's research, its potential applications and implications. We organise events that allow stakeholders concerns to be heard and discussed with experts. We also seek to understand the societal context for our work and to actively and constructively engage with those who have concerns about either the ethical issues or technological implications surrounding our work.
