Knowledge Exchange
The Babraham Research Campus aims to be one of the leading centres for bioscience innovation in the UK. The campus unites scientific, technological and commercial excellence with an underlying philosophy to cultivate an environment that stimulates effective commercialisation and knowledge transfer (KT). The ultimate aim is to translate science into biomedical products that will deliver social and economic impact and address global healthcare challenges.
Fundamental and applied science operates alongside commercial R&D at the campus, creating an interactive, supportive environment that maximises the prospects of success for the curiosity-driven science and its exploitation into biomedical products and services. BBT’s development of commercial facilities is part of this commitment; the new Bioincubator buildings are a key component in the progression of the Babraham landscape, but the overarching objective is to deliver a knowledge-driven campus that promotes post-genomic biology. This will enable the Babraham Group to influence and shape the future development of the region’s biotechnology community, delivering wider economic and societal benefits, such as job creation and increased regional prosperity.
